Yes. Background checks will be done on all adults volunteering in an area where interaction with children is likely. Selective background checks are administered on many other volunteer roles as well.
All Bridge volunteers are given a volunteer t-shirt. When you serve, you are required to wear your volunteer t-shirt, along with appropriate seasonal clothing and shoes. Many people choose to wear a solid long-sleeved shirt under their volunteer t-shirt, or to bring a sweater or jacket in the cooler months. If your role requires you to serve outside, then dress appropriately for the weather. Depending on their particular role, select volunteers wear Bridge Volunteer lanyards. Your Team leader will provide lanyards if they are required for your role.
Contact your Team leader or a staff member to talk about leadership roles.
When a volunteer has a conflict, they are responsible for communicating their situation to their Team leader. Because every volunteer role is vital in creating a great atmosphere for our guests, we ask volunteers to take the responsibility of finding a replacement if they are unable to serve.
At the Bridge we use Realm to help you connect with others and to the mission of the Bridge Church. It’s an online tool designed to help you connect to the mission of the Bridge. Realm is our primary means of communicating, sharing weekly prayer requests, needs, and organizing get togethers for all of our groups.
